Inhabiting Code is a two-day live-coding laboratory focused on creating audiovisual art. The laboratory is open to anyone who is interested in art, technology or both and wants to explore unusual ways of audiovisual performance through coding; no previous experience required. After the laboratory, we will have an open concert as artistic output where we will be able to showcase what we collectively worked on and learned.
In this laboratory we will use Strudel, which is a live-coding environment to create sound, and Hydra, which is a live-coding environment to create visuals. Both are based in the same language, having a similar notation, and are really intuitive to use. We will also use Flok, a browser-based collaborative platform that allows for collective performances and audiovisual jams.
